|The Cincinnati Reds were the first professional baseball team created. To live in Cincinnati is to be a Reds fan. Michael “Fuji” Powers lives in a large family with three older brothers and two sisters. His father has always dreamed of one of his sons stepping out on the field at Great American Ball Park. Unfortunately, Fuji is the last of the Powers to have the chance of living out that dream. Fuji gets selected to play on the WT Cardinals who are considered the best team in Clermont County. The team has a slew of all-stars—none better than Timothy McAllistar who is destined to make it to the pros. Unfortunately, Fuji isn’t that good of baseball player. But he’s determined to prove his worth and there is one young girl who believes in him. The WT Cardinals keep winning and earn a spot in the city championship game.
It’s up to Fuji to step up to the plate in the final inning to prove his worth to his team, his family, and to a special girl who has given him the courage to believe in himself.
